My name is Katrina. I’m the initiator of Tingsi Maternity Care, am currently a lactation consultant and confinement nanny, and very open to look after newborn and primipara or multipara with special needs, and I’ve had excellent time management skills and many years of experience with infants and multiple toddlers.
I provide personalized care and build lasting relationships – our goal together is to come up with a care plan that fits your individual needs. I love taking care of, and helping people as much as I love taking care of my own family. I always keep in mind the importance of critical thinking in the nursing field which is at the core of being a good nurse. I have a kind personality and tremendous patience so I can handle children very well in all children of situations. I would love, care and protect your children, work with great commitment!
I’ve taken care of moms with gestational diabetes mellitus, pregnancy-induced hypertension, asthma, advanced maternal age and so on, and newborns with neonatal acne, eczema, thrush, congenital or acquired disease like respiratory distress syndrome, econium aspiration syndrome, cri-du-chatsyndrome, prader-willi syndrome, infantile hypertrophic pyloric stenosis etc.
9 months of pregnancy is a long tiring and energy-consuming period for you as a mom. After giving birth, you will have two main things to take care of: your recovery and newborn. In fact, the tradition of practising confinement soon after giving birth is a common practice in Asia. I will happily assist and teach you the right baby-care knowledge as well as breastfeeding skill. Especially if this is your first pregnancy, you will have truckloads to learn. Do note that the postnatal period can be stressful if you do not handle it right. Postpartum depression can begin anytime within the first year after childbirth.
