Nice to meet you,
I'm Katrina
Registered Nurse

Newborn Care Specialist
Certified Postnatal Doula
Since graduating with a BSc in Nursing, Katrina Chen has devoted her career to supporting postpartum mothers and newborns. Born into a large multigenerational family of doctors and nurses in Taiwan, she was raised with deep-rooted values of compassion, dedication, and medical excellence. Katrina’s extensive clinical experience includes working as a nurse in the Baby Room, Obstetrics, and Medical Intensive Care Unit, as well as at leading postpartum care centers in her home country.
Identifying a Critical Gap in Postpartum Care
Throughout her clinical and postpartum experience, Katrina recognized a significant gap in the healthcare system. After hospital discharge, many new mothers—especially first-timers and younger mothers—lack the essential knowledge, practical experience, and emotional support needed to confidently care for their newborns. Adequate physical and mental rest is crucial during this period, yet this gap often leads to physical exhaustion, emotional distress, and postpartum depression. These challenges not only affect the mother’s health but can also impact her relationship with her baby and overall mental well-being.
The Birth of Tingsi Maternity Care
In 2020, Katrina founded Tingsi Maternity Care to close this gap by providing personalized, expert guidance that bridges hospital care and life at home with a newborn. Since then, she has supported thousands of families worldwide through tailored lactation consulting, newborn care education, and compassionate postpartum support—helping mothers and babies thrive with health, confidence, and peace of mind, as well as navigating day-to-day activities in a healthy and pain-free way.
Leveraging her nursing background, Katrina has trained and mentored a skilled team of healthcare professionals who deliver exceptional postnatal care across Europe, the United States, Canada, Australia, and Taiwan. Together, they create truly memorable and supportive confinement experiences that empower mothers and families during this important transition.
Our Mission
At Tingsi Maternity Care, our mission goes beyond simply providing care. We strive to empower mothers worldwide to become healthier, happier, and more confident versions of themselves. Through thoughtful preparation, personalized education, and heartfelt support, Katrina and her dedicated team work to make the journey through pregnancy, parenthood, and beyond as smooth and stress-free as possible.
We believe that motherhood is made up of countless small, meaningful moments — the little “Tingsi” moments — that shape a happier, healthier, and more empowered life. Our goal is to support every mother in embracing these moments and thriving in her unique journey.
A Personal Commitment
For Katrina, nothing is more rewarding than walking alongside new families. She celebrates their small victories, offers comfort in times of challenge, and witnesses the beautiful transformation that motherhood brings. At Tingsi, we believe every mother deserves to feel deeply supported, valued, and understood as she steps into this precious new chapter of life. Our passion is to uplift, encourage, and empower each mother with warmth and expert care, ensuring she never feels alone on her journey.
Katrina believes that a healthy, happy baby begins with a healthy, happy mother. Through online courses, in-person classes, and group coaching, she and her team focus on holistic approaches to support women from preconception to birth and beyond. Drawing on Asian philosophy, meditation, yoga, and more, Katrina is dedicated to helping mothers recharge and discover personalized self-care practices that nurture their mind, body, and baby. Her goal is to help every mother feel more focused, more centered, and able to truly enjoy her motherhood journey. She also believes such knowledge should be easily accessible to women everywhere.
Katrina incorporates the Taiwanese approach to postpartum care, which uniquely balances the baby’s health with the physical and emotional well-being of the mother. In Taiwan, healthcare is considered a right, and new mothers receive attentive, specialized care. This model is so respected that expectant mothers from Japan, South Korea, other Asian countries, and even the USA travel to Taiwan to experience the renowned 30 to 100-day postpartum care program. Combining academic knowledge, professional expertise, and Asian philosophy, this approach equips mothers with the tools they need to thrive.
Before founding Tingsi Maternity Care, Katrina worked extensively as a maternal and neonatal nurse, supporting and guiding new mothers through the challenges of early motherhood. She provided hands-on coaching in newborn care, postpartum maternal care, home safety, and more, while also helping mothers find structure and balance in their new roles. During the critical first 100 days postpartum, she focused on building trust, teaching practical skills, and fostering emotional resilience—ensuring every mother gained confidence and peace of mind.
